Woodloch has one of the most fun and educational programs around. Our comprehensive week-long camp covers many different riding disciplines including Western, hunt seat, bareback, and trick riding. Each student is responsible for a horse throughout the week, with structured lessons and supervised practice rides daily. Students also learn about aspects of horse care through hands-on participation, demonstrations, and group discussions. Topics are varied and include feeding, cleaning, veterinary care, farrier care, horse breeds, riding disciplines, and much more.

All camp sessions run from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Trail rides and a cookout are favorites among the other activities in this fun-filled five-day camp. Parents are encouraged to attend the mini-show on Friday afternoons, where campers get to show off what they’ve learned during the week.

Day camps are available for riders of all levels and abilities. Our instructors are focused on making sure your child has a fun, educational, and safe time at camp. We make every effort to group students of like ages and abilities together so that everyone gets the most out of their session. 2, 3, and 5 Day Camps are suitable for young & beginner riders ages 7-16. For qualified riders, we offer advanced 5-day camps; advanced campers need to be currently enrolled in lessons at Woodloch for at least 4-6 months, AND must have previous approval from a Woodloch instructor. A $200 non-refundable and/or non-transferable deposit is due with registration. Please email with any questions.

Minimum 8 campers needed per session; if a session must be canceled due to lack of participants, those who already registered can transfer their registration to a different week.

**ASTM/SEI-approved equestrian helmets are highly recommended for all mounted activities (bicycle, skateboard, motorcycle etc. helmets are not suitable for equine activities and are not allowed in riding lessons). While Woodloch Stable cannot provide helmets to riders for liability reasons,  Troxel Helmets are available for sale in the lesson office in a variety of sizes, colors, & styles – you can also order a helmet of your choice by filling out an order form.
